This guide will show you how laborers work and how to set up a house and a guild hall to the most optimal way.
Laborers are a method of passive resource income. There are a total of 11 laborers
To place a laborer in a home, the easiest way is to click on the scroll outside of the building you want to place it in and then scroll down a bit.
You can place up to 3 laborers in a T5+ house or up to 15 laborers in a guildhall.
Journals are books that can be bought at the laborer, then filled and returned to the laborer of the same type. (Prospectors can only use prospectors or general journals for example)
They don't have the word Trophy in their name.
For the resource journals you just go out into the world and harvest resources of same tier or up to 2 tiers higher to fill the book. Once the book is full, you return it to the laborer.
Just like the resource journals, you fill them up by gahtering the resource it belongs to. Once filled, you bring it to the laborer but instead of resources, you get a trophy. (See further down how to use the trophies)
They can be filled with literally everything you do in the world.
Filled by killing mobs of the same tier or up to 2 tiers higer and instead of resources, you get an amount of silver.
These work a bit different than the resource journals.
You need to craft Items at the station and then return them to the laborer. Then they give you some refined resource used back, making your crafting even more profitable.
The Happiness of a laborer determines how much bonus you get from your books.
For a laborer to gain happiness from beds and tables it has to be at least the same tier or higher than the laborer itself. Therefor you need a house / guildhall of the same tier or higher. Why? Its simple: the tier of the house determines the maximum tier of items you can place.
Example: you can place a T5 table in a T7 house. But you cannot place a T7 table in a T5 house.
You need 1 bed per laborer, 1 table makes 5 laborers happy.
Trophies bring an additional boost to the happiness. A special trophy gives 10 points, a general trophy or one of another specialist gives 5 points of happiness.
To optimize a house you need the following:
This way you get 145% on T8 and 150% on every other Tier.
For an optimized guildhall you need:
